What is employment?
It is a contract wherein an employee will offer his/her skills and knowledge to help an organization achieve goals at a mutually agreed consideration.
So, if we look from another angle, a candidate is a product whereas the recruiter is the customer.
If you agree, then –
Have you understood the product itself and its features?
Have you understood the customer’s requirements?
Are you aware of the customer’s needs?
What USP you have to offer to the customer?
Don’t talk what you like but talk that will appeal to the recruiter.
Recruitment is a Two-Way process. The way you need good employment, the company also needs good employees. No one is interested in wasting their precious time and resources during the recruitment process. Recruiter is looking for the right candidate to solve or work upon a certain problem.
It’s not only the candidate, but the recruiter is also under pressure. Understanding a person behind the mask, estimating the candidate’s capabilities and suitability for the role are difficult tasks. Recruitment of any wrong person is detrimental to the organization’s goals, ethics and culture.
Can you assure the recruiter that you are the right person for the role offered?
So, always be excited to answer – Tell about yourself, Why are you fit for the role? Why should the company hire you?
